San Diego

A couple weeks ago I had some training down in San Diego and thought it would be nice to take the whole family. The week was great and we visited almost all the places we heard about from friends who lived there. Some of the highlights were Coronado Island, Old Town, San Diego LDS Temple, Cabrillo Point, up to La Jolla and finally Sea World (Shamu rocked!) Luckily my training gave us long lunches so we got out of the hotel for lunch everyday and tried real fish tacos, burritos and horchata! After training ended we were out to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. It was so green everywhere, traffic moved at a 60 mph pace (much slower than the 80mph up in the Bay area), the weather was warm and the people were nice. Ben especially loved playing on the sandy beaches, seeing a dolphin up close but being to afraid to touch it (actually his dad was afraid to help Ben touch it!), working on the pipes in the room (see pic) and going along with everything. When the week ended we flew back to San Jose where it was raining the same as when we left. San Diego definetely is a place we will remember and try to visit again soon. We had a great week as a family and had lots of fun.

Ben checking the pipes under the bathroom sink. This was his favorite place to hang out when we were in the hotel room, his second fav was the drawer where we made him sleep. :)

How did you get him to sleep in a drawer? That is one good little boy. Chloe would have been allover the place.
